Demi Lovato goes back to black and adorns herself with giant crosses as she revisits the Gothic look

Every since she emerged from rehab last year it has been one of her favoured fashion styles.
And once again Demi Lovato flirted with the Gothic look as she attended the '4th Annual Summer Spectacular' To Benefit The Brent Shapiro Foundation in Los Angeles, last night.
The 19-year-old former Disney star dressed all in black and adorned herself with giant crosses at the event.

It looks like 19 may be Demi Lovato’s lucky number. The singer and actress who was noted for going into treatment last year for her eating disorder and other personal issues, but now Demi is back in the limelight with her third studio album Unbroken.

Demi Lovato: I Finally Feel Like a Role Model

By now, it's no secret that DemiLovato has been to hell and back. The 18-year-old singer has been open about her struggles with cutting, eating disorders and depression, and she hopes her journey will inspire others to tackle their own issues as well.

"To me, it's more rewarding for me to speak about these issues and know that I'm possibly making a difference in someone's life," she tells The Associated Press. "I feel like I'm held more accountable to stay healthy now because now I'm a role model to young girls to not have eating issues and to not say, 'Hey, it's OK to starve yourself' or 'It's OK to throw up after your meals.' That's not OK."

As Demi Lovato was spiraling out of control, struggling with an eating disorder, self-mutilation and other issues, there were members of her team who knew that she was hurting herself, but did nothing to stop it.

So, she fired them.

"I've had to let a few people go just because I know that my (best) interest wasn't in their hearts," she said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Along with her core management, Lovato feels she has good group of people around her now as she rebounds from the troubles that forced her off the Jonas Brothers' South American tour last year and into rehab. She also left "Sonny With a Chance," the Disney Channel show that catapulted her to stardom.

Demi Lovato Puts Her 'Spin' On Lil Wayne's 'How To Love'

Demi Lovato is back to performing live. And in addition to singing tracks off of her just-released album Unbroken, she's also dazzling crowds with her stirring first-person rendition of Lil Wayne's "How to Love."

Video of her singing the track has become a viral smash, and when MTV News caught up with the "Skyscraper" singer on Wednesday afternoon (September 21), she seemed pumped to talk about the cover. "I just loved the way that Lil Wayne took a risk doing the song 'How to Love,' and when I really listened to it, it's such a great song."
